I am telling you though, I totally wish this family lived closer instead of hmm hmm CANADA!! they were super cool, super loving and FUN!!

M Family from Ontario Canada! {Marshfield beach photography}

You do not even have to say it, I know that I totally stink at blogging recently. Life took over and all the time got sucked into car pools, hanging on Lacrosse and Baseball fields, end of school events, dance and there was a LOT of that!!! I keep thinking of what to blog and just cannot sit down to do it. So here is a quick one. Beach sessions are in full swing here at Megan Peck Photography!! Book them now just in case you are thinking of it and do not miss your window. I met this super COOL family on Tuesday. If they lived closer I am certain we could hang and have lots of laughs! The knock knock jokes alone were worth meeting them, I tell ya!! so funny.
Patti Miller and family are on Holiday in the Cape and kindly drove up to meet me at the one one super hot and humid evening. All the best to you on the rest of your trip, we will be in touch soon!!

Ramona the pest. {Marshfield Family Photographer}

This post really started because I got a new lens, a Canon 15mm fisheye and I was playing around with it. I L O V E it!!!! It is so much fun!!!! seriously I puffy heart this chunk of metal.
My son had just gotten home from lacrosse practice and was starving, actually when is that child NOT starving?? He is always always always hungry. Because of his constant need for food our frenchie, aka "Mona", aka "the funny looking pig" is also starving. This puppy dog is in constant begging mode, so much so that she now creates a sound with her begging, It is ridiculous but also kinda funny. I had to turn my lens on her because my son grumbled and made faces. Can you tell she was thrilled??

In this image, you can see her in the big green homemade PS circle. She is begging for the edges of the sandwich that was scarfed down. I think she is trying to use her Yoda moves and make it actually rise up and come to her. The other circle is her begging spot, this is where she sits during every meal as I tend to stand in that corner to prepare meals, etc. please do not take any note of our messy house.
(eeeeks)

This next image if her getting annoyed with me, it is good for her right?

and finally the full blown ignoring, she chose to stare out the window with the silent treatment, so funny!!

First Communion beauties {Marshfield photographer}

Remember me?? I know it has been a long time. Life is crazy but good. Busy busy stuff going on here at Megan Peck Photography. I wanted to share some images from this beautiful mini session we had here a week ago on that HOT day, that brief glimpse of summer that we here in Massachusetts so desperately needed.
Are these girls BEAUTIFUL??? I loved each and everyone's dresses, veils and tiara's. They looked so lovely.

studio baby {Marshfield baby photographer}

Did you know that I actually bring my studio to you!! Yup, have mini van, will travel. :) Here is an example of what we can do if you are looking for studio type shots of your little ones or family. It is quick, easy and also in the comfort of your own home. My only requirement is that you have a large picture window or glass doors that we can access for the light as I am all natural light!! ;)
PS isn't she ADORABLE?????!!!!!

Photographer's child syndrome {Marshfield Children's photography}

People always ask me about photographing my own children and how easy it must be because they have to be so used to it. ummmmmmmmmmm NO!!!!! They are a total nightmare, well that is a little strong but they are TOUGH!! They both charge me, meaning, trips to the "Geney" (Marshfield Hills General store) to get candy, in some cases itunes cards, or I have to be slick and pull out the COUPONS that they give me for Christmas or my birthday. You know the ones I am talking about, the "anything without whining for an hour" type of coupons. I still have a pile of the "do the dishes" and "clean my room" ones. One of my kids was smart and put expiration dates on theirs... SMART! This year, I bought the outfits early, I had already photographed 4 families that weekend but when I looked at my calendar I knew this was my one and only chance to do the session while it was nice and my husband was around..... so we rushed out of the house to try and beat the sun. Craziness!

I put way too much pressure on myself for it and it kinda stunk! :( I made the grave mistake of taking the kids to a super cool place that they wanted to explore, NOT sit and do photos. Do I blame them? Certainly not, should I just chilled and went with the flow? YES! Did I? Not at first. I am sitting here finally now looking at these images 2 mos. later, I love these shots of them being bored, crazy and annoyed. I should have jumped in..... IF I get my cards done this year, a big IF this year, everything came so late and the holiday is coming so fast..... then you may get to see the series of bloopers...... I am still debating if they should make the cards, but these are my kids, the good , the bad and the ugly moments. LOL

Falalalalaaaaaaa la la la laaaaaaaaaa!!!!

Booking a session

In the summer months through early November Megan book's out about 6 weeks in advance. Please keep in mind that the beach sessions are 1 HOUR before the SUNSET, so in July we meet at 7pm. The calendar is open for any newborn sessions (2 weeks and YOUNGER) Maternity sessions are booked about 6 weeks before your due date.

Please bring a clean snack, (pretzels, fish crackers, water, light colored juice) to keep the little ones going. Please refrain from bringing along your own camera, remember you hired Megan to photograph your family and you would want her to have your undivided attention. ;)

Your family sessions are fun, creative and personal. Megan does not photograph extended family sessions, as they are her priority is to provide a unique, personal experience to each family.
